Preparation
- Wash plantain and dry with a kitchen tissue
- Chop off both ends
- Peel them
- Wash your hands again and dry
- Deep your hand in the oil bowl and grease the roasting tray
- Rub oil over each plantain and place in a roasting tray
Roasting
- Turn oven on, gas Mark 6
- Place the tray in the oven and roast for 20 minutes
- Check if they have turned golden brown then turn the other side and roast for a further 15 to 20 minutes
- Check and take them out if golden brown
- You can enjoy them with a sauce of your choice. For example, stewed meat, chicken or eat on its own with a cup of tea, coffee or just water.
